Passover: The Red Sea Imagery Exercise

  • Sit up and close your eyes.
  • Breathe out slowly three times, long slow exhalations through the mouth and normal inhalations through the nose.
  • On the next long outbreath, imagine you are standing at the entrance to the Red Sea. It is midnight. The sea has parted. There are two walls of waves facing each other held still by the immense gravitational pull of the moon and Venus, extremely close to each other. There is thunder and lightning above.
  • The Pharaoh’s army is descending on the group to kill you and the others or to take you and the others back into slavery.
  • This miracle setting has been arranged by the Lord God.
  • The spiritual leader, Moses, indicates that you (and the others) need to cross. Feel and live yourself there, in that experience.
  • Breathe out one time slowly. And now, CHOOSE to go or stay, either way is legitimate. What happens?
  • What do you feel, know, and understand about your life now, and about the deeper meaning of Passover?
